X-Men Days of Future past will be coming to theaters very soon, but we still don’t quite know whats going to be happening. Comic fans will of course know that the story revolves around a Mutant named Kitty Pryde, a role being reprised by Ellen Page, who sees deep into the future. What she sees is mutants living in a concentration camp style environment, being guarded and hunted by gargantuan robots called sentinels. So whats there to do other than travel back in time and warn everyone? But how far back do you go? How does 1973 grab you?
First off a big thanks to the guys over at www.comicbookmovie.com for the scoop! They managed to get a hold of a casting call for the new Bryan Singer helmed “X-Men: Days of Future Past” which tells us just a little bit more on what kind of setting we’ll see when this hits theaters.
So. 1973. Thats sounds positively Disco.
 My Take
I love comic book movies, and I love period pieces, so when X-Men: First Class was announced a few years ago, I was very excited. Now seeing it happen again, AND with one of my favorite directors returning to the helm, I can’t help but be keyed up for this one. I mean, we get all the cast members that nailed it the first time round, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, and all of our new returning stars, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult. Oh yeah, and PATRICK STEWART AND IAN MCKELLEN. I’m sorry but their names deserves caps. No word yet on whether Halle Berry and James Marsden will return, but I couldn’t care less about them so, yeah. Im just ready to see some kick ass mutants rocking bellbottoms and afros.
